Emmanuel van der Schueren award for Hans Langendijk

At their yearly meeting, the Belgian Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (BESTRO) has awarded the Emmanuel van der Schueren Award to professor Hans Langendijk, head of the radiotherapy department of the University Medical Center Groningen. Professor Langendijk received the award in honor for his contribution to the clinical introduction of proton therapy through the model-based approach.
