Treatment of moving targets (8 projects)

Proton therapy (PT) permits highly conformal dose distributions, enabling radiotherapy treatments that result in a high probability of controlling the tumor, and in a low toxicity of surrounding organs. Moving targets, however, are a challenge for PT due to the time-dependent variations in beam range and due to interplay effects that occur for scanned proton treatments.
