Adaptive radiotherapy & treatment planning (4 projects)

Proton therapy (PT) permits highly conformal dose distributions enabling treatments with high a local control rate and with a low toxicity. Anatomical changes during the course of treatment, however, can affect target coverage and organ at risk (OAR) sparing. Two methods can help mitigate these effects: adaptive radiotherapy (ART) and advanced robust treatment planning.

We work on various projects in these fields, with the aim to further improve the safety and efficiency of radiotherapy treatments with photons and scanned proton beams:

NTCP-based treatment planning optimization

ART for Head and Neck cancer (2 projects)
