Radiotherapeut-oncoloog
Uw behandelend arts op de afdeling Radiotherapie is een radiotherapeut-oncoloog, een medisch specialist op het gebied van de behandeling van kanker met straling.
Soms is uw behandelend arts een arts die in opleiding is tot radiotherapeut-oncoloog. Deze werkt onder supervisie van een radiotherapeut-oncoloog.
De radiotherapeut-oncoloog stelt samen met u het behandelplan vast. Gedurende uw behandeling krijgt u één of meerdere controleafspraken bij uw arts of de physician assistant (PA). Bij afwezigheid van uw eigen arts of PA neemt een andere radiotherapeut-oncoloog, PA of arts in opleiding, die goed op de hoogte is van uw situatie, de begeleiding over.
